Your initial consultation may be longer than a regular dental check. It is an appointment where we really get to know about your lifestyle and past medical and dental history. We will, of course, examine the head and neck structures related to the mouth before examining the mouth itself. Low radiation digital radiographs (x-rays) will be taken and other special tests may be done or ordered. Once we have all the information we need, we will present you with a diagnosis and discuss treatment options.
A procedure to clean your teeth thoroughly is scaling and polishing. The hard tartar which forms over the teeth, trapped food and the plaque containing germs are cleaned with scaling. After cleaning the surface of your teeth, polishing is done to remove stains from coffee, tobacco, tea & wine.
Replacement of amalgam fillings
The IAOMT has created a very specific procedure that ensures safe mercury removal from patients’ mouths while minimising possible harm to the patient, dentist, dental assistant and environment. We follow this strict protocol which involves the patient, dentist, and assistant wearing specialised personal protection. We also use specific types of suction, filtration and separation of mercury which are adapted specifically for this process.
Invisalign is a BPA-free aligner technology to straighten your smile. Invisalign aligners are removable. Unlike braces, you can eat and drink what you want during treatment. You can also brush and floss normally to maintain good level of oral hygiene. Invisalign is very comfortable. There are no metal brackets or wires as with braces to cause mouth irritation. No metal or wires also means you spend less time in the doctor’s chair getting adjustments.
